Complete garage equipment installation for ambulance service’s vehicle workshop
Project brief
CCS Garage Equipment provided specialist consultancy and vehicle workshop support to South Western Ambulance Service, before undertaking the design and installation of its new, fully-integrated vehicle workshop in Chippenham.
The first of a suite of vehicle maintenance facility upgrades for this essential emergency service, completion of this garage equipment installation enables South Western Ambulance Service to maintain vehicles in-house efficiently, getting them back on the road safely to serve a population of more than 5.5m across a vast 10,000 square mile area.
Professional garage equipment consultancy & installation by CCS
South Western Ambulance Service is investing in a complete review and refurbishment of its emergency services vehicle maintenance workshop facilities in an extensive project which will see the creation of multiple new, consolidated depots across the South West region.
Our client and its appointed contractors consulted with CCS Garage Equipment at the commencement of the project, enabling us to gain valuable understanding of the ambulance service’s operational needs and to deliver expert advice backed by our 30 years’ experience in garage equipment installation and workshop design.
Our garage equipment installation for this emergency services workshop project created up-to-date working spaces for our client’s personnel, with equipment which included a 4-post, 7T commercial vehicle lift, 2-post 7T commercial vehicle lifts, commercial brake tester and headlamp tester, as well as ancillary equipment including lubrication systems, compressed air and LEV systems. CCS’ team also relocated the ambulance service’s existing mobile column lifts.
CCS Garage Equipment worked alongside South Western Ambulance Service’s builders, architects and contractors to complete the garage equipment installation prior to commissioning. Full testing and training will be undertaken by our team prior to handover to ensure the safe operation of all equipment, and ongoing maintenance and servicing thereafter will continue to keep this essential vehicle workshop up and running.
