CCS started work at National Express' new state-of-the-art bus and coach maintenance and servicing facility in Perry Barr, Birmingham earlier in 2022. The project is now complete and the workshop in operation, with vehicles now cared for in a workshop which gives National Express room to grow and evolve its electric vehicle fleet.

Our team's new images show the National Express workshop up and running, with vehicles undergoing servicing and maintenance by engineers using a suite of industry-leading equipment.
Across the Perry Barr site comprising 4 large commercial vehicle workshops, commercial garage equipment including commercial vehicle inspection pits, mobile column lifts and full ancillary services has been installed to service not only existing coaches and buses but to accommodate the client's future growth and expansion of its electric vehicle fleet.
CCS Garage Equipment's appointments to key aspects of the National Express installation project included:
- Compressed air systems
- Lubrication, fresh and waste oil systems
- Oil monitoring system
- Hose reels
- LEV fume extraction, featuring bespoke design and installation of 2 extraction points capable of handling high fume volumes and demand to enable in-house DPF regeneration
