Uttlesford District Council's workshop installation underway

CCS Garage Equipment was appointed by Uttlesford District to complete the installation of its new vehicle workshop in Essex, serving the District Council's range of vehicles, including workshop design and consultancy, supply of leading, highly-reliable equipment and installation on site through to commission and operational launch.

Uttlesford is moving out of its existing workshop, relocating its operations to this bespoke new 4-bay workshop in Little Canfield.

As with any local authority project, it was important for our CCS Garage Equipment team to consider the demands of operating a wide-ranging vehicle fleet when preparing our design for the workshop, and the work that Uttlesford wished to be able to complete in-house using the workshop.

Our CCS garage equipment installation team is now on site in Uttlesford and has now completed initial groundworks at this new-build, state-of-the-art workshop, with internals starting to take shape.

A new prefabricated steel pit for essential maintenance of a range of light and heavier vehicles has been installed, brake tester sub-frame is in place and the main slab now poured to complete the workshop's footings.

• Bespoke-designed, new-build 4-bay workshop

• ATF-approved commercial brake tester
• 4-post lift suitable for light commercial vehicles
• Headlamp beam tester
• Wireless mobile column lifts, suitable for the wide range of vehicles the workshop will service
• Oil system for new & waste oils
• Compressed air & fume extraction systems

Our team, led by our experienced garage equipment installation project engineer, will follow up the preparatory groundworks in the new year with full installation, testing and commission of remaining equipment and vehicle lifts.
