Project brief
CCS Garage Equipment’s dealership client acquired this Volvo site in Bishop’s Stortford in late 2023, and has since invested significantly in a full refurbishment of both the sales centre and vehicle servicing workshop.
Upgrading the Bishop’s Stortford site in line with Volvo’s corporate brand specification, the dealership now incorporates Scandinavian-inspired styling in client-facing areas, new office spaces and EV charging points, and a fully-refurbished servicing, maintenance and repair workshop to serve Volvo customers, as well as those of other marques, in and around Hertfordshire.

Workshops are futureproofed with user-friendly, reliable equipment capable of servicing Volvo’s growing electric vehicle range, complemented by smart workshop design that develops comfortable and operationally efficient working spaces for dealership technicians.
CCS Garage Equipment was appointed by Volvo Bishop’s Stortford to design, install, test and commission the dealership’s refurbished 6-bay servicing workshop to a specification which included 2 Nussbaum Smart Lifts and 3 Nussbaum Jumbo Lift scissor lifts, together with Cormach tyre changing and wheel balancing equipment, LEV fume extraction systems and compressed air supply.
Nussbaum vehicle lifts are user-friendly, reliable and hardwearing, engineered to the highest quality standards and used worldwide by dealership and commercial vehicle workshops. Fixed 2-post Smart Lifts offer lifting capacities up to 4T to accommodate some of the largest vehicles in the fleet, while short-platform scissor lifts are recessed into the ground to make the most of the space available in this compact workshop.
Part of a suite of garage equipment installation projects for Volvo dealerships across the UK, CCS’ project at Volvo Bishop’s Stortford was managed by our experienced installation engineers and dedicated project manager, keeping work on track to meet the dealership’s launch schedule. Vehicle lifts were tested prior to commission, and full training delivered to the client’s workshop team in the safe use of new equipment. As ever, CCS will continue to maintain and examine the workshop’s equipment for a compliant, safe and futureproofed servicing centre.
