🔧 Project Update: CCS completes new workshop installation for Adams Morey, Plymouth

CCS recently completed our commercial workshop garage equipment installation for Adams Morey's new Plymouth depot in Devon, adding another exceptional facility to the brand's growing portfolio in the South West of England. 

Hot on the heels of our workshop installation at Adams Morey's brand new Bridgwater depot in Somerset, our installation team has supported our client on site in Plymouth as it expands its operations, moving from a smaller workshop in Saltash across the Tamar into this large, combined office, colleague and workshop space in Plymouth.

Refurbishing an existing building, the new Plymouth depot is centrally located close to the A38 at Langage Business Park, giving the client room to grow from a cutting-edge, self-contained site that benefits from great transport links across the region. The new workshop opened to customers on 14th July 2025, and we're looking forward to continuing to support the client with regular testing, maintenance and inspections to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.

• In-ground commercial vehicle inspection, servicing and maintenance pit, equipped with pit jacks, integrated lighting and floor safety markings for all-round vehicle servicing capability at Adams Morey's Southampton depot
   
• New 9-bay commercial vehicle workshop installation for North West Trucks' Warrington depot, including design of the workshop scheme, groundworks and preparation for installation of in-ground inspection pits, pit jacks, lubrication equipment and workshop floor preparation

The L-shaped workshop building has been refurbished and redeveloped to accommodate 9 commercial vehicle servicing bays, together with testing facilities, large parts stores and charging points.

CCS Garage Equipment managed the installation of this large commercial vehicle workshop, which upgrades Adams Morey's facilities in the area and incorporates full ancillary services installation including lubrication equipment and distribution, LEV fume extraction and associated pipework.

The new Adams Morey Plymouth workshop installed by CCS Garage Equipment includes in-ground, prefabricated steel inspection pits, equipped with integrated LED lighting and pit jacks, for comprehensive ATF vehicle testing, repair and maintenance facilities.

Adams Morey's new commercial vehicle servicing workshop in Plymouth, Devon, includes two simulated load brake testers for comprehensive brake testing that's compliant with current DVSA regulations.

Adams Morey's new Plymouth workshop is a spacious, well-equipped facility accommodating 9 vehicle servicing and testing bays to suit vehicles ranging from motorhomes and minibuses to HGVs, vans and trailers. 

The DVSA's updated regulations released earlier in 2025 require simulated load brake testing to be undertaken regularly, delivering more accurate brake testing data that ensures vehicles operate safely. VLT brake testing technology installed by CCS Garage Equipment for Adams Morey in Plymouth allows for simulated load brake testing on twin ATF lanes. 

The Plymouth workshop's external facilities include a galvanised vehicle wash ramp and dedicated wash bay, allowing vehicles to be thoroughly washed down prior to testing. This wash ramp includes galvanised steel steps for safe driver exit and entry, as well as a powerful pressure washer for efficient vehicle cleaning. 

The commercial vehicle ATF lane is equipped with an in-ground inspection pit and a set of shaker plates, used in the inspection of suspension and steering of commercial vehicles. 

Each prefabricated steel inspection pit was specified by CCS Garage Equipment to feature integrated LED lighting along the length of the pit, together with anti-slip flooring and galvanised steel steps for access and egress. The ATF lane is accessed through a mini pit and tunnel fo safety during testing, in line with DVSA requirements. 

All hazards on the Plymouth workshop's floor have been professionally marked out in hardwearing, anti-slip epoxy resin floor paint, including staircasing access points, headlamp tester channels and vehicle inspection pits. 

Simulated load commercial brake testers installed by CCS Garage Equipment for Adams Morey, Plymouth, at the entry to the ATF lane, accessed via staircasing and a mini pit and tunnel entrance. Each pit features integrated LED lighting and anti-slip flooring, and adds valuable testing capacity for HGVs and commercial vehicles to this fully-equipped workshop. 

Adams Morey's Plymouth depot in Devon is an excellent facility, supporting commercial vehicle operator customers throughout the South West. The workshop is equipped with 9 service bays, including 3 service and inspection pits and twin ATF lanes, and the workshop floor has been prepared and professionally marked out in a hardwearing epoxy resin scheme to ensure this busy workhop operates efficiently without lost time as a result of accidents.
