🔧 Project Update: CCS progresses garage equipment installation at Audi's Tyne Tunnel workshop in North Shields

14 Jul 2026

Work is underway and progressing well at Audi's new workshop and body shop facility in North Shields, just outside Newcastle-upon-Tyne, as CCS manages the delivery of a complete garage equipment installation for our dealership client.

CCS is appointed by our dealership client to manage the delivery of this new Paint and Body Centre in North Shields, Tyne & Wear, serving Audi customers across Newcastle-upon-Tyne and the North East from a self-contained facility at Tyne Tunnel Trading Estate.

Located away from customer sales and dealership facilities, the dedicated workshop and body shop facilities at Tyne Tunnel enable our client to maximise opportunities from this spacious, bright and versatile building, creating a working space that's fully-equipped to handle the complete vehicle range across the group, including Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda and Seat marques.

The North Shields centre undertakes a wide range of work, in particular accident repair work, diagnostics analysis, and body work and paint repairs. An Audi specialist, the Luxury Structural Aluminium Approved facility is the only Audi R8 Aluminium Structural approved repairer in the North East, using genuine Audi parts and Audi specified paint that restore vehicles to their original condition.

Our workshop fit-out specification for this project included the relocation and reinstallation of our client's existing garage equipment, including the safe installation of vehicle lifts, MOT bay and wheel alignment equipment relocated from previous workshops. By maximising value from our client's existing assets, the workshop fit-out benefits from efficient budget control and ease of integration into our client's workflow.

In-house electrical skills to support every garage equipment installation project

Our installation project for the Audi Paint and Body Centre in North Shields is supported by CCS' dedicated, in-house electrical services.

CCS is a complete workshop partner, and our scope of work extends far beyond pure garage equipment. Delivering turnkey projects that are ready to get to work, our specification often includes groundworks and civils to prepare sites for installation of equipment such as vehicle lifts, MOT bays, inspection pits and brake testers, installation of complex pipework systems for the efficient distribution of lubricants and compressed air, and electrical installation that ensures sufficient power safely reaches every part of the workshop.

At Audi's Tyne Tunnel site, our in-house electrician delivered the complex electrical installation to serve this large site and the equipment that is to follow. Electrics handled by CCS, on this project and across other large workshop sites, include:

  • Electrical installation throughout
  • Three-phase power supplies to all working areas and service bays
  • Wall lighting
  • Electrical heating
  • System testing and commission

Reliability is a key feature of a CCS workshop, and a safe, secure and professionally-designed electrical installation is central to delivery of a garage equipment project that keeps our client businesses up and running around the clock.
