CCS delivers garage equipment installation services for Via East Midlands

Comprising a workshop relocation from a now-closed site into a modern new workshop at Queen’s Drive, Nottingham, Via East Midlands appointed CCS in 2019 to deliver a complete garage equipment installation solution to support its work in the Nottinghamshire region.

Benefiting from industry-leading equipment and expertise from a CCS team with almost 30 years’ experience in commercial vehicle garage equipment supply, installation and maintenance, Via East Midlands’ new workshop is designed to deliver a functional, safe and future-focused operational space for the client team which will be working on vehicles, including electric and hybrid-electric vehicles, ranging from HGVs to cars, vans, buses and trucks.

From the new unit, Via East Midlands will deliver services for fleet customers including Nottinghamshire County Council and Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, as well as offering services, MOTs and repairs to members of the public.

The Via East Midlands project commenced with expert consultancy and project management to design a solution which met the client’s specification, moving on site to fully-manage the installation.

On completion and handover earlier in 2020, our team delivered vehicle lift training to ensure safe operation of the working area, providing an end-to-end garage equipment solution led by values of safety and workshop specialism.

CCS selected equipment for the Via East Midlands workshop including:

  • Steel pit by leading fabricator for HGV and Classes IV, V and VII MOT testing
  • 2 Stertil-Koni 12 tonne commercial vehicle lifts
  • HPC compressed air lines
  • Exhaust extraction system

For Via East Midlands, this work also required our supporting services in the relocation of testing equipment from the client’s previous site, ensuring its transfer and re-installation to proper working order, together with associated groundworks to accommodate the relocated and new equipment.
