The exterior construction of the new-build, 9-bay commercial vehicle workshop is now complete and our garage equipment installation team is progressing well with installation of leading equipment.
Installation of hydraulic piston, in-ground commercial vehicle lift
Our installation team, led by Senior Engineer Tim, has managed the installation of this exceptional in-ground lift which comfortably accommodates the largest commercial vehicles on the road.
This vehicle lift operates using hydraulic, in-ground piston columns for a neat wheel-free lift, and offers features including:
- Exclusive, integrated patented safety system, a double hydraulic system comprising an outer cylinder for lifting and lowering and a second cylinder dedicated to safety
- Separate hydraulic circuits operate each cylinder
- Integration of safety mechanism protects it against corrosion, dirt and other particles
- Automatic level regulation
- Unique pit cover system protects internal mechanisms and enhances workshop operational safety
- Pit cover itself can withstand loads of up to 4T
- Rotation lock on each lift cylinder
- Hot galvanised oil tank on each lift cylinder, directly connected with a pilot controlled, one-way valve
- Lift can accommodate low-profile vehicles, with a free drive-on height of just 60mm
- Lifting capacity of 15T per column to a lifting height of 1900mm
- Telescopic cylinders with built-in depth of just 1500mm
- Versatile for use with 2, 3 or 4 columns depending on the vehicle
- Lift options in the range offer up to 6 lifting columns
- Options include radio comms, axle distances and position indicators
This new equipment is a professional, versatile and sleek lift that offers exceptional lifting capacity for a wide range of commercial vehicles, from motorhomes and vans to some of the largest HGVs on the road.
The versatility of this robust lift, incorporating one fixed column and 3 adjustable columns, will support Adams Morey's operations, which handle a wide range of vehicles including trucks, vans, motorhomes, buses and coaches.

1. The recess for the lift's cassette, columns and mechanism is created in the workshop floor at Adams Morey's new Bridgwater depot in Somerset during initial groundworks phase, and the lift's first column is installed.
2. Our specialist installation engineers position cabling serving this extensive commercial vehicle lift, its columns and safety mechanisms.
3. Positioning of lifting columns prior to interim testing, undertaken throughout by CCS Garage Equipment's experienced workshop equipment and vehicle lift installation engineers.
4. The hydraulic lifting columns can be adjusted to accommodate a range of vehicles. Columns are adjusted and moved through the cassette using the chains installed here by CCS' expert garage equipment installation engineers.
5. Internal lifting columns and adjustment mechanisms in position and tested by CCS Garage Equipment. Safety markings surrounding the commercial vehicle lift's cassette warn of the workshop's fall hazard.
6. Adams Morey's hydraulic, in-ground commercial vehicle lift is installed by CCS' professional garage equipment installation engineers, each benefiting from years of experience in working with some of the UK's leading commercial vehicle and dealership workshops.
7. Installation of one of the versatile vehicle lift's hydraulic columns nears completion. The scale of this lift is evident here, with three further columns to add to the system along the cassette.
8. Cabling is secured around the column as our vehicle lift installation engineer nears completion of work on this section of the lift. Internal cabling is neatly secured, supporting the operation of the lift and ease of access to essential components during servicing and maintenance.
9. Lift columns are in place along the length of the lift's cassette, connected by robust chains which enable the movement of 3 non-fixed columns to accommodate multiple sizes and type of vehicle, from HGVs to motorhomes.
10. Installation of this neat, in-ground commercial vehicle lift continues, with full testing of each column undertaken throughout. Each column lifts a capacity of 15T, giving this lift an exceptional total capacity of 60T.
11. Lifting columns and the lift's pit cover now in place. The cover itself can withstand weights of up to 4T, protecting the internal lift mechanisms, preventing falls and enabling ease of access for ongoing servicing and maintenance.
12. The hydraulic in-ground commercial vehicle lift at Adams Morey's Bridgwater depot sits alongside a trio of prefabricated steel inspection pits. This is set to become an outstanding vehicle servicing and maintenance facility for our client and its regional customer base!
13. Our installation of the 4-column, hydraulic in-ground lift for Adams Morey at Bridgwater in Somerset has been completed by our specialist installation engineers. An excellent job by our team, delivering a lift that's not only versatile and safety-focused, but which looks fantastic in this spacious workshop. Top marks to the team for their clean-up job too, the safety markings and anti-slip paint look great.
14. The in-ground, commercial vehicle lift is operated by a wall-mounted control unit, keeping workshop personnel a safe distance away during a lift. Optional extras for the lift include radio comms to aid collaboration between team members when lifting and working on a vehicle.
15. Lifting in action! Adams Morey's new Bridgwater depot is ready for opening, and our team attended site to supervise final testing. An HGV cab is lifted cleanly using the in-ground lift, giving the workshop team excellent all-round vehicle access during servicing and maintenance.
